Fined Or Not Fined - That Is The Question!

I was advised quite a few days ago, of a situation

that arose a few years ago when a New South Wales 

Government member was caught with no ticket at a 

City Train Station.

By the time the Transit Officer returned to work, he

was ordered to cancel the fine, whilst no name or

further fine(s) details were entered or accepted.

This is where I would suggest that we are so much in 

high technology, maybe NSW transit Officer could 

have a an On-line little computer that can lodge/enter

the fine straight away, signed by the offender. Then 

situation like above may not occur.
