North St Marys bus Diversion 782 - Government Tells Patricia To Walk!

Here is the story from Patricia Guywho is lobbying for returned bus services in Griffith and Jackaranda Road North St Marys - these bus services in this are was remove in the same time our Mount Druitt ones were removed - one one service makes a diversion to these streets  via the current Westbus 780 service. in this community, generally the aged community obtain this bus services to reach Penrith in one trip, rather than stop at St Marys train station and changing for other bus services or train services. I have referred Patricia to Susan Day from South Penrith Group and also representative from the Western Sydney Public Transport Users Steering Committee.

The current advice for Patricia from a New South Wales Minister of Transport ( where she lives) is to walk 600 meters to the nearest bus 758. So another community member or members that need to walk more than 400 meters to the nearest bus stop. Great for fitness but not great for the elderly that need to have short walking distances to their to their bus stops. Patricia have provided copies of letter confirming so!

Patricia's area falls into Penrith L.G.A. of which I have little or no contacts - this is where Susan is providing great advocacy as a transport lobbyist especially with another member of her group that has issues on the Werrington side of where the 782 now travels. We we provide you with further updates as they occur.
