Mount Druitt Transport Forum Questions So Far!

Mt Druitt and Surrounding Suburbs Public Transport Forum Questions.

This forum is open to the first 250 members of the public.  Due to time constraints, all questions must be pre-submitted and registered and any questions brought up on the floor will NOT be answered. In addition to the listed questions, other submitted during the forum will also be brought up.

Questions:

1)    As a candidate for Mount Druitt/Londonderry State seats, what do you propose to improve bus services the Mount Druitt Community and surrounding suburbs?
2)    What is your opinion regarding the significance of public transport in the Mt Druitt area and surrounding suburbs and what does it mean to you and your party ?
3)    What are your main policies in relation to improvements of transport infrastructure in and around Mount Druitt and reinstate lost services?
4)    Due to the government subsidies provided to bus companies, which are subsidies by route and the distance measured in kilometres, how can the bus companies be justified cutting and reducing services?
5)    Do you think the changes made to the bus routes are justifies given the low patronage of some of the current services?
6)    In terms of weekend and late night bus services into the local communities – do you think they are adequate? If so why?
7)    Do you as a candidate have any policies to deregulate any or all of transport services within Mount Druitt?
8)    Would you be looking to increase transport services in the near future?
9)    How can the train and bus connections be fixed, enabling buses not allowing commuters to wait half an hour at night for example and visa-versa?
10) What improvements do you think can be made at Mount Druitt Train station/Bus interchange?
11) Are bus shop shelters around Mount Druitt important, do you think it’s important for every bus stop to be sheltered?
12) Do you see that transport lobby group like MDCIG would be included in the transport network process to in ‘making a difference’ within Mount Druitt.
13) What is your vision for public transport services and infrastructure in the Mt Druitt area and the surrounding suburbs?
