The other day Greater Western Sydney and Sydney trains were out of time table order, when we had the big wet weather hit us.
A transport officer has advised that due to not maintaining signals along railway lines, dust has built up and has cause problems with effecting signals that are now only operated by computers. In the old days the were signal maintenance crews, ensuring all signals were regularly maintain thus producing less disruption to train services!
Editor: This poses the question is new technology good when not maintaining the items that it is servicing?
