This afternoon the bus driver CQ 9166 was handling a situation where two female commuters entered the bus at the same time and had three or four children combined. This is where the driver was confused as he wasn't sure if each commuter had two children or whether one female commuter had three children and the other had the other children. I think he main issue here was the two female commuters were both friends, came on the bus with the four children, one partner and the children just ran to the back of the bus before the female commuters could even pay for the bus fares.
Well you can now understand that once the bus driver was collecting fares of other commuters, as soon as these two female commuters were paying fares. The bus driver thought that 1 female commuter had two paying children with one female commuter and the other with the other female commuter and the fourth child was under the age of three, being free. The end result was that it was one female had the three paying children - leaving one child free after two children and the other had the three year old the was free paying. The two female commuters started to become a bit heated with the driver - he nearly raised his voice - yet didn't and in a stern voice clarified the situation and resold the fare situation leaving the female commuters at the end happy.
We both agreed that he made the commuters happy and should be on the 'Happy Bus Drivers Register'!
