NSW Transport - Proposal for Mount Druitt Commuter Car Park - A Bit Far To Walk For Commuters

Here is the  proposal from NSW Transport Construction Authority. Although these are just the summed up details, specific details can now be obtained from Mount Druitt Council Library, the only local place around Mount Druitt. The proposal replaces the derelict building unsure of its future for quite a few years, formerly  the Astra theatre, a market and then a vacated, run down theatre that was built beautifully and left to crumble down. After years of Council neglect, finally something that may beautify the area not be a sore point ( if paint properly). But........ the big but is there is a niggling issue that is holding me back & that is the nearer bus interchange seems to be overlooked as a convenient place to park the car, go on the train easily come back to the car park with an option to purchase items in Westfield - as you are parked so close.

With the proposed car park no issue with the disabled parking - yet  what is worrying is that if it is only for commuters, Western Sydney TAFE students my use it and there's half the parking and Centre Link customers may use about 25 per cent of the available parking. Leaving 25 per cent for train commuters available to park. So this presents a safety issue of crossing roads as well but most importantly, less walk means more trains.
