Yes that is right, this afternoon, travelling after Seven Hills to Penrith, the train guard that made repeated announced had the train in a laughable hysteric mood.
Normally you get the pre-recorded messages on train station platforms as follows-
We all picked up on the Australian accent and the excited guards announcements. He read the scripting but not as if it was boring as if it was exciting and the added one word connotation woke us dreary commuters and swept us from our seats. What did he say? He said,'Next stop Blacktown, and all station to Penrith! Yeah and you where is going Penrith! Yeah!' ( this yeah was said like a cowboy exciting getting of his course). The first time it was said we chuckled but then he said the same just before reaching Blacktown ant the end he said, 'Yeh you known again where it is going Penrith - Yeah!'
Well we all cracked up - I even said a little aloud this is the way they should always be these announcements! Maybe City Rail could look at this guard doing more expressive announcements. maybe even providing the time of arrive at every train station and whether the train is late or on time as per time table. Something to think about for the future.

- 'Please note the next train on Platform 1 to City is due in 5 minutes'
- 'Please Stand beside the yellow line on the Platform before the train alights'
- " The train on Platform 2 to City is running 5 minutes late'
