Lucky Day for Lucky Bus Driver!

Today I was speaking to a Busways bus driver, who was  telling of his experience today when he said his new bus was overheating  as the gage showed it that way.Luckily the Busways replacement Bus ( from maintenance) came as quick as possible, ensuring that his last 758 route trip (for the day) would start on time. Fantastic!

Then he remembered myself in leading the charge to getting the Busways 755 returned and thought what good work was done to get that back! He also advised since he started working for Busways they employed approximately 140 bus drivers - now they have approximately close yo 200 bus drivers - which he says he is training two of them! 

This make me then think that more bus drivers means more route and then more trips and lastly more commuters catching buses. Not a bad conception of an idea!

'Lights On' For Busways Bus Driver!

This evening, I experienced such wonderful assistance from the Busways Driver, I thought I better mention it!

This lady commuter was searching for her pensioner excursion ticket as she entered the bus she kindly asked if she could find the ticket in her handbag on the bus. This was at the Mount Druitt Bus interchange when this happened!

As she sat on the seat behind the driver, the internal part of the bus was fairly dark and hard for the lady to do a proper search of her hand bag for her  pensioner excursion ticket. I kindly requested the driver to turn on the internal lights and he did so,  as a friendly response - within 30 seconds - she found her ticket!

I asked the driver to switch off the internal lights and thanked him kindly. With a great wide smile  appreciated the courteous discussions I had with him.

New Bus Contracts Region 1 - May Solve Rivalry Amongst Bus Operators In Mount Druitt!

Yes, now the new bus contracts for Region 1 has been resolved, one main issue will also be resolved is the Bus stop issue at the Mount Druitt Interchange which has been between Busways and Westbus drivers the last few weeks.

Since Busways will be taking over there will be no dispute about Busways placing their bus in the same bus stop - that was in dispute (Well unless Busways drivers dispute over Busways drivers!).

PROBLEM SOLVED!
