Young John From Blaxland would like to see more cleaned trains. Especially unhygienic places where hands are touching poles and seats. He also would like to see the trains cleaned regularly, weekly to 3 days a week, especially on poles and seats on trains, where continuous touching of different hands on these can create a health risk with unclean hands!
We are a local transport group only interested in representing all suburbs of Mount Druitt, with the goal of being involved in getting improved Transport services and infrastructure with buses, trains, taxis & cycling. We will lobby Blacktown City Councillors Transport Officers from all areas to reach community goals. We invite all and any local interested commuters to bring their ideas and goals, working with a better Mount Druitt Transport community.

Possible More Support For NorthWest Raillink!
John from Colbee has one suggestion: he is waiting for the Northwest Rail Link to be completed and then he will test which train service will be quicker between the new Northwest or Blacktown to the city and return.
Bronie With Great Night train Idea And Futurist Idea!
Young Bronie from Penrith has had train time table issues recently when her train stopped at St Marys train station the other night and the train stood for a few minutes. She then went over to catch the fast train line and then the same thing happened, it stood still. After twenty-five minutes the train moved on and stopped in between Werrington and Kingswood train stations, for another hour.
Only one small train announcement was made that, 'There is a delay and there will be further announcements.' There was no further announcements! It took her 2 hours to get home when she left Blacktown at 9pm, when usually it takes her half an hour trip to get home.
Bronie's solution to this is to have a back up bus that travels train stations only from Blacktown to Penrith and thus if trains are held up, commuters can transfer to these buses, after hours.
Bronie had also a different suggestion that the mobile phone charging stations should be placed on train carriages especially in times when there is a long waiting period and mobile phone batteries are running out while commuters are calling family and/or friends, notifying them of the lateness.

Will Transit Officers Jobs Come back?
Transit officers yesterday have advised me that although their job will be replaced by police officers, ratio 600 replaced by 200. What they understand is that they have heard that Police Officers do not like to do the City Rail job and also find 200 officers will not be able to cope with the security of commuters, keeping up with it.
After midnight they believe there will be no security on the trains and this can be very daunting to all commuters. On a different point (not knowing to the whole community), there are under cover transit officers that work on the graffiti gangs. Police officers will not be covering this so there will be more public graffiti on all facets of public transport property and transport vehicles, once the transit officers job is removed.
The afterthought is that although the new New South Wales Government is planning to remove these positions and replace them, these transit officers think that the New South Wales government will have to re-employ transit officers in the future, to ensure proper safety of commuters, transport officers and public transport property are protected.

Good Deed By Good Young Mother On Train!
Young mother
on the train yesterday was spotted cleaning up spilt soft drinks from a pram
that dripping onto the train carriage floor. All of us that witnessed her, inclusive of Cityrail transit Officers thought that she was a great example for the
young mothers of Sydney and especially the Greater Western of Sydney. Keep it up for all
young mothers!
let's hope that any young person does the same - it is not the norm for people to to this.

Less Knitters On Trains - Time Comparison!
A nice elderly
from the Central Coast visiting Mount Druitt, claims 50-60 years ago very lady
was knitting and crocheting on trains as she watched a lady knitting on the
train, opposite her yesterday. ‘You hardly see this, now a day,’ she said as
she advised she has written a book called, ‘Round like An Apple’ not published as yet - but I'd say it will be a seller!
Commuters Request To Keep An Eye On Children!
Kay from
Whalan, met on the train yesterday morning, would like children running around
loose on train station platforms, to be more closely restrained by
parents/carers and properly cared for. This will ensure property safety for the
child. She stated, ‘There are too many children running around!’
